I took my car to Cambridge for what I thought was a simple rear brake replacement and the safety. Ryan the recipient, told me it would cost $1200 and take a few days ,I agree with price to take the safety. However, after keeping my car for 5 days, he informed me that the job wasn't done yet and that I needed to pay an additional thousand dollars to fix the front brakes as well. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the service I received. The communication was poor, and the cost kept escalating without my knowledge and start work on it without let me know. I felt misled and taken advantage of. The fact that they didn't even finish the initial job in the promised timeframe, I would not recommend it to anyone.
I honestly have to go five star. Seem like they have good experience and knowledge really friendly and professional as well 100%. Had them install winter tires off rims last year the service was fast and they did exactly what I was asking for made me aware that I needed to fix a few things and recommended it too back in November. And just today today had them fix those problems so I guess it was easy for them to order the part and the shipment of the parts was quick they told me bring the car for 8am and by not even 12:30 noon the car is already done and ready to pick up that’s some good service and well trained in this field of work they had like four different jobs to do just on my car and they nailed it drives more smoother now. I have to say the price was pretty affordable not the price I thought it be. So keep up the work and we’ll see you in November. If this summer is good to me with no other failure.
Had Cambridge Tire do a simple oil change on my Honda Fit on Feb 21. On March 9, the plastic cover under the oil pan had come loose and was dragging on the roadway. Took the car to a qualified, licenced mechanic, who informed my wife that the cover was not secured properly and more than half of the screws or bolts were missing. Also, too much synthetic oil was put into the car and that it was leaking onto the engine block that could have caused a fire. The mechanic had to drain some of the oil, clean oil off the engine block and exhaust manifold and refasten the cover tightly with new bolts/screws. I don't know if some of the bolts were not re-secured, or if they were not tightened properly and worked themselves loose, due to engine vibration. This cost me an additional $60 in vehicle repairs. Cambridge Tire may be a good place to purchase tires, but I do not recommend them for any mechanical repairs or oil changes.
Excellent place to get any and all car repairs done. Very competent, hardworking professionals who are humble and easy to talk to. They're very fair on their prices and will do their best to help you save money wherever they can. The typical practice of mechanics getting you to spend money on repairs you don't need doesn't exist here at all. This is why I would recommend this place to anyone for their auto needs. Jodi at the front desk is absolutely wonderful and really helpful in accommodating your service needs. She's an absolute delight to deal with.
