Good little banquet hall on a busy road. Easy to get in and the place smelled freshly cleaned when we walked in to get everything set up. Lots of tables and chairs to use where you can probably host up to 100 people. Stage was a good size but projector screen was small. Adequate parking with a row of parking in the front and a parking lot in the back. Large kitchen with access to a regular and commercial fridge (regular fridge could use some deodorizer though). There's also a vending machine in the lobby for the kids for snacks and such. Bathrooms were also clean and well stocked. Just keep in mind you can't hang anything on the walls like balloons. Overall I would recommend this menu for an intimate gathering.
The venue was average. Nothing was included in the kitchen, no cutlery, cookware or basics. Considering there is a damage deposit, having the basics should be available without the concern of loss/theft. The roof was leaking but fixed just before. The air conditioning was not working and the host had to provide their own fans. Considering it was a hot week, it was necessary. When the discussion regarding compensation happened, the options were, cancel the event and get a refund or have it and pay in full. Whose going to cancel the day of? Not cool, literally If I was to plan an event, knowing how inflexible they are and the lack of basic necessities, I would consider other venues before settling here.
Great experience booking and hosting an event at the French Club. Very responsive when booking/inquiring and the ladies at the bar were very nice, many guests complimented. Drinks were cheap. Docked a star only because the space could use a little updating.
